At this summer’s festival, a curated selection of breweries – and their brewers or representatives – will be featured. Attendees will be able to try brews that they won’t be able to find elsewhere.

Also featured at the festival is the Rare Beer Tour. Tour your way through the Festival and stop at the following breweries where a specialty rare or sour brew will be tapped every 30 minutes or so. The tour will include a story for each rare brew straight from a brewer or brewery spokesperson! Rare brews are notated below in purple.

Anderson Valley Brewing Company, Boonville, CA
Wild Turkey Barrel Stout: 
Aged for three months in Wild Turkey® Bourbon barrels, this luxurious stout has a deep ebony hue and a beautiful mahogany head. The woody, vanilla-like notes imparted by the barrels mingle with aromas of fresh baked bread, toffee, and espresso and envelop the rich chocolate and roasted barley flavors with a fine bourbon character. 6.9% ABV (Rare Brew)
Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout: The deep ebony color, voluptuous mahogany head and bold, roasty flavors in our Barney Flats Oatmeal Stout are what serious beer drinkers expect from this style.  Aromas of freshly baked bread, espresso, and dried cherries meld seamlessly with rich toffee flavors and a creamy mouth feel to create an unparalleled drinking experience. 5.8% ABV
The Kimmie, The Yink, And The Holy Gose: With a bright, golden color and tight creamy head, the earthy wood undertones in our Gose develop into a light mineral aroma with a hint of lemon zest and tropical fruit. Before boiling, the wort is kettle soured with lactobacillus, imparting an initial refreshing tartness that gives way to a subtle fullness. 4.2% ABV

Arbor Brewing Company, Ypsilanti, MI
Buzzsaw American IPA: 
A big, bold hop-forward west coast style IPA. The malt character is subdued to showcase a blend of Simcoe, Summit, Citra, and Centennial Hops creating a lingering dry finish with notes of pine, grapefruit, and apricot. 7.5% ABV
Strawberry Blonde: Rich and flavorful medium bodied beer with a fresh, floral strawberry aroma. Citrus, spice, and fruit are blended seamlessly for a subtle yet distinct flavor that never turns too sweet. 7.7% ABV
Bliss Wheat: Classic aromas of banana, clove and floral citrus blossom. Fruity, spicy aromas show a rich yeasty character that follows through on a smooth, medium-bodied palate with a delicately spicy finish. 5.5% ABV
Khatta Kala: Barrel-aged sour stout. 6.8% ABV (Rare Brew)
Violin Monster: Brewed with Midnight Wheat, warming spices, and a hint of brown sugar, the Violin Monster is black as night. 9.5% ABV

MI Berry Vice:  Raspberry/blueberry wheat beer. 6% ABV
Saison: Farmhouse ale. 7.2% ABV
Rapunzel: Wheat IPA with Michigan hops. 6% ABV
Cheap Date: Hoppy golden ale. 4.5% ABV
Barrel Aged Cereal Killer: Bourbon barrel aged barley wine.

Corktown Rye PA: 
A bitter, moderately strong American pale ale that uses its clean, supporting malt to showcase its hop character. 6.8% ABV (Rare Brew)
Dirty Blonde: Wheat/spiced ale, light straw color. 4.2% ABV
Vanilla Java Porter: English Porter/spiced ale, deep brown color. 4.5% ABV
Hop-A-Peel: Hop-A-Peel is a frontal assault on the American IPA style that features not only the classic American Cascade and Chinook hops, but two of the new “Super Cascade” varieties in both the kettle and in the dry hop. 7% ABV

Bell’s Brewery, Kalamazoo, MI
Oberon:
A wheat ale fermented with Bell’s signature house ale yeast, mixing a spicy hop character with mildly fruity aromas. The addition of wheat malt lends a smooth mouthfeel, making it a classic summer beer. 5.8% ABV
Two Hearted Ale: A significant malt body balances this hop presence; together with the signature fruity aromas of Bell’s house yeast, this leads to a remarkably drinkable American-style India Pale Ale. 7.0% ABV
Amber Ale: Amber Ale deftly balances a mixture of toasted grain & light caramel notes with a range of floral, citrus and herbal hop notes, capped by a clean bitterness. 5.8% ABV
Oarsman Ale: The grain bill includes a healthy portion of wheat, while citrusy hops lend bright notes to the aroma. 4.0% ABV
Quinannan Falls Special Lager: Quinannan Falls possesses the crisp, dry bitterness you’d expect from a German pilsner, but the use of highly aromatic hops from the Pacific Northwest in both the kettle & dry-hop evokes the fragrant pine forests that inspired this beer. 6.5% ABV
TC Barrel Aged Porter: Hints of dark chocolate and freshly roasted coffee provide the focus, while hops remain in the background. Not as full-bodied as a stout, Porter bridges the gap between malty brown ales and our more heavily roasted stouts. 5.6% ABV (Rare Brew)
Boiling Pot Ale: Pungent, orange zest, apricot, creamy oatmeal session ale. 4.3% ABV
Kalamazoo Stout: Offering a blend of dark chocolate and coffee flavors with just a hint of brewer’s licorice. One of our oldest recipes, it balances a significant hop presence against the roast malt body. 6.0% ABV
SparkleberryA blend of Sparkling Ale and Raspberry Ale. 7.8% ABV (Rare Brew)

Three Philosophers: 
Three Philosophers is a unique blend of a Belgian-style dark ale and Liefmans Kriek, an authentic cherry ale from Belgium. Cherry chestnut in color, it’s opaque but not cloudy with full carbonation topped by a smooth, tan head. 9.7% ABV
Hennepin: A moderately hoppy, farmhouse-style ale with a champagne-like effervescence, Hennepin has a crisp start followed by malt sweetness balanced with a firm bitterness. 7.7% ABV

Brewery Terra Firma, Traverse City, MI
Batch 500 IPA: A substantial malt body supports copious amounts of whole cone hops including local Cascade hops from Empire Hops Farm. The result is a balanced IPA with plenty of hop character without being overpowering. 7.2% ABV
Chocolate Orange Oatmeal Stout: Subtle orange flavor grounded by a substantial chocolate base with a hint of roast malt in the finish. A complex malt and hop bill provide depth and complexity without too much heaviness. 6.3% ABV (Rare Brew)
Little Italy Honey Basil Ale: Bright, crisp and refreshing, Little Italy offers up an enticing herbal/floral  aroma and early basil flavors before  giving way to a light, clean finish with  just a touch of honey. It is produced with whole leaf sweet basil, oats, malt and local honey. 5.2% ABV
Manitou Island Hopper Ale: A robust,malty, amber body is offset by forward citrus and pine notes, culminating in a dry, clean finish with a slight lingering bitterness. 5.7% ABV
Manitou Amber Ale: Unfiltered American Amber Ale. Manitou has a rich, soft malt body, beautiful deep amber color and finishes with a bouquet of whole cone hops. 5.3% ABV
Open Space Session IPA: Light on body and alcohol content, yet full of flavor and character, bracing hop bitterness balances with light malty tones to create a quenching, satisfying and very session-able IPA. Wonderfully balanced citrus and pine hop flavor, in no short supply, will keep you happy. 4.5% ABV
Alice Unfettered IPA: A wonderful floral nose precedes pine and citrus flavors and a bracing hop bitterness, all of which is wrapped up in a complex malt bill that both cushions and enhances the hops. 6.5% ABV
Karma Palace: Aromatic, easy going and satisfying, Karma Palace was created to fill a void in the IPA market – that of an easy-drinking, full-flavored IPA that focuses on depth and complexity instead of overwhelming hop presence. 5.7% ABV
Gladstone APA: Unfiltered American style Pale Ale. Gladstone’s unique character allows the hops to provide a spicy, satisfying palate cleansing finish, while still allowing the underlying malts to provide the foundation. 5.9% ABV

Paris:
Red wine barrel-aged sour (Rare Brew)
Tropical Saison: 
French Saison, A saison brewed with real pineapple and mango juice. Not cloyingly sweet, with a light spiciness to it, this is a delightfully complex saison. 6.5% ABV
Tree Bucket: Belgian candy sugar and the Ardennes yeast strain lend sweetness to this very, very hoppy beer. Tropical fruit-forward Citra hops, among others, give balance to the sweet profile and high ABV. 9.3% ABV
BA Triomphe: Our classic Belgian Inspired IPA aged in a bourbon barrel. Then we dry-hopped it with Palisades hops which will lend a nice orange-like aroma on top of the vanilla & charred oak. 6.5% ABV

Aged for 7 months in caribbean rum barrels. 9.2% ABV
Rye Pale Ale:
Unfiltered, rate beer 100 points. 6.6% ABV

Bulldog Red Ale: 
Featuring rich, complex caramel aromas with a touch of dark sugar, there is just enough hop character to balance this easy drinker. 5.1% ABV
Professor IPA: The Professor is golden and sports a large frothy white head. Hops leap out of the glass, citrus, apricot, and herbal notes define this brew. 6.6% ABV

Crazy Mountain Brewing Company, Edwards, CO
Lava Lake Wit: 
This Ale is our take on a classic Belgian Wit Beer. To make this beer unique, we add un-malted wheat, rolled oats, two varieties of classic European hops, chamomile, curacao orange peel, coriander, grains of paradise, and a rare yeast strain from the Old Country. 5.2% ABV
Mountain Livin’ Pale Ale: The hop forward character of this beer is represented not in its bittering qualities, but in the unique, fruit forward flavor of two new and somewhat experimental American hop varieties. 6.0% ABV

Cider aged 2 years in rye whiskey barrels. 15% ABV

Dark Horse Brewing Company, Marshall, MI
Crooked Tree IPA: 
Crooked Tree is heavily dry hopped to give it a big aroma of pine and citrus. The flavors are big, yet very balanced between fresh hops and malt. Often described as “grapefruit,” our hops give this beer an excellent citrus flavor that finishes dry, crisp, and clean. 6.5% ABV
Raspberry Ale: This beer is a light bodied, easy drinking ale.  We use real raspberries late in fermentation, giving this beer a mild fruit flavor while keeping a very balanced malt profile. 5% ABV
Sapient Trip Ale: We brew this tripel with a Trappist yeast strain to hold true to the traditional style. The flavors are incredibly complex with notes of mild fruit that finish with just a bit of clove..You will find it finishes very smooth and dry on the palette. 9.5% ABV
Scary Jesus Rock Star: Aromas of chamomile touch your nose as they lead into the soft body and mouthfeel of this liquid symphony. Just as your mind is clear and your sins are washed away, a tasty riff of sweet and earthy fresh apricots hit your palate and rock your tastebuds finishing dry and hoppy. 6.5% ABV

Here Gose Nothin’: 
Lemon, lime and other citrus-like qualities are present in aroma and on the palate, which is balanced by the spicy character of added coriander and a mineral-mouthfeel from added sea salt. 5.0% ABV
Vertex: We may not have mountains in the midwest, but this back-hopped, copper-colored India Pale Ale reaches the Vertex of fruity-citrusy hop flavors & aroma while also striking a reliably solid, midwest balance caramel maltiness and hop bitterness. 6.3% ABV

Slow Ride: Easy drinking, citrusy hoppy IPA. Geared for sessioning, Slow Ride is cushioned with tropical aromas and fruit-forward hops. 4.5% ABV
Rampant: 6 hop varietals and a light caramel malt bill form this bold example of a double IPA. 8.5% ABV
La Folie: Tart and sweet, this is our interpretation of the classic Belgian dark sour ales. 6.0% ABV
Hop Kitchen Oatmeal IPA: This honey-hued Oatmeal IPA flips the script on wickedly bitter beers with additions of silky-smooth oats, creating a creamy swallow to buoy a full crescendo of brilliant pine, grass and guava. 6.0% ABV
Long Table: Big peppery phenol and candy-like pineapple and banana fruity ester aroma. Underlying citrus and herbal character with slight mineral and bread dough notes. 6.2% ABV
Love Apple Felix: (Rare Brew)
Eric’s Ale: A very drinkable sour beer hybrid with subtle peach tones and a warm, spicy finish. The aroma has pleasant hints of vanilla and tropical fruit, the wood characteristics are present but nicely muted. 7.0% ABV (Rare Brew)
Ranger: This clear amber INDIA PALE ALE beauty bursts at the starting gate with an abundance of hops: Cascade (citrus), Chinook (floral/citrus), and Simcoe (fruity) lead off the beer, with Cascade added again for an intense dry hop flavor. 6.5% ABV

Belgium White Pale Ale brewed with coriander and orange peel. 5.8% ABV
Incorrigible Reserve: White sour ale with Michigan berries added. 4.0% ABV (Rare Brew)
Imperial Hatter: Imperial IPA With MI Hops from Empire Orchards. 10.0% ABV
Dragon’s Milk: Bourbon Barrel Aged Stout. Rich malts, vanilla and chocolate all dancing in an oak bath. 11.0% ABV
Mad Hatter: Citrus and pleasant bitterness excite your palate before welcoming a balancing finish. 7.0% ABV
Ichabod: Ichabod combines malted barley and real pumpkin with cinnamon and nutmeg in a delicious and inviting brew. 4.5%
Black Tulip: Mysterious, alluring and seductive, yet tantalizingly elusive 8.8%

Dale’s Pale Ale: This voluminously hopped mutha delivers a hoppy nose and assertive-but-balanced flavors of pale malts and citrusy floral hops from start to finish. 6.5% ABV
Pinner: With tropical fruits, citrus juices, pineapple, and spice berry up front in the aroma and flavor, the buscuit & toasted bread at the back balance out all the hops and make a great finish. 4.9% ABV

Petoskey Brewing, Petoskey, MI
Horny Monk Belgian Dubbel: A deep reddish, malty, and complex Belgian style ale. Six different types of malted barley, Belgian candied syrup and Belgian yeast are combined to produce a very smooth, complex and slightly sweet ale. 6.9% ABV
Mind’s Eye PA  (I.P.A.): Burnt copper color and giant hop aroma come to the forefront in this traditional American IPA. Rich caramel malt and red wheat balance the dry bitter finish of this full-flavor craft brew. 6.7% ABV
Michigan Cherry Wheat: Refreshingly tart, distinctively cherry! Brewed in the classic Berliner Weisse style and utilizing Michigan’s Kings Orchards Montmorency tart cherry concentrate for a pure Michigan summer ale. 4.2% ABV
Brain Freeze Waffle Cone Raspberry Cream Ale: This unique ale has actual waffle cones added into the mash. Very slight hints of this ingredient can be picked up in the finished beer. More prevalent are the fruit notes from the addition of fresh raspberries added during fermentation. The low IBU makes this an easy drinking ale. 6.9% ABV
New Moon Summer Belgian Pale: A non-bitter, easy-drinking Belgian style pale ale. Lemongrass, sweet orange peel and chamomile are special additions to this brew giving it a subtle, yet unique flavor profile. 4.4% ABV
Petoskey Saison: A beer style that originated from beers brewed during the cooler and less active months in farmhouses in the French-speaking region of Belgium and then stored for drinking by the farm workers during the summer months. Our version of this beer utilizes traditional Saison ale yeast, lemon zest, ginger, and cardamom. 6.7% ABV
Gunter Glieben Glauten Globen (American Imperial Pilsner): Golden in color with a distinct Pilsner aroma, its initial intense hop bitterness is mellowed by an almost exclusive Pilsner Malt backbone. The  Sazz dry-hop adds to this beers unique profile. 8.3% ABV
Sunny Daze Hefeweizen: This traditional style German Wheat Beer is fermented utilizing German ale yeast and is dry-hopped with German Hallertau Hops. This clean-finishing ale has aromas of banana and clover.  In the tradition of Hefeweizen, this beer is unfined and unfiltered which gives it a natural cloudy appearance. 4.8% ABV
Unwound Session I.P.A.: Time to get unwound? This session I.P.A. utilizes Centennial bittering hops and Columbus dry hops. It’s lower in alcohol then your typical I.P.A., so have a few! 5.2% ABV
Dark Knight Black I.P.A.: An amalgamation of styles. Chocolate malt and roasted wheat provide dark color and malty complexity. Summit hops impart the fresh aroma and dry bitterness. 5.5% ABV
Bourbon Horny Monk: Our popular Horny Monk that has been aged in Bourbon Barrels for 9 months. Still very smooth, slightly sour and sweet. Bourbon and oak come to the forefront in this brew. 7.5% ABV
StinkFist Triple I.P.A.: If you’re a fan of hopped-up craft beers, this is the I.P.A. for you. This is a very limited edition, small-batch, high gravity, high bitterness brew that is sure to redefine your idea of an Imperial I.P.A.! We utilized three types of bittering hops and a 100% Columbus dry-hop to provide the in-your-face aroma. 10.5% ABV

Milkshake Stout: The combination of four different malts, along with a low hop level creates a deep dark beer featuring rich, sweet roasted flavors. Tongue Tied Cherry Saison: A traditional Belgian-style saison ale brewed with over a thousand pounds of both tart and sweet Michigan cherries. An unfiltered, slightly creamy ale with a pale reddish amber color and nice luscious white head. 6.2% ABV

Unholy: 
A classic Belgian-style ale originally popularized by the Trappist monastery at Westmalle. Pleasant, soft malt base with flavors of orange blossom, vanilla and hints of clove. Full-bodied with alcohol warmth and a dry finish. 10.0% ABV (Rare Brew)
Rogue River Brown: A well balanced, malt forward nutty brown ale! Munich, biscuit, chocolate and caramel malts are used to create a warm complexity. The complex malt profile finishes slightly dry and mellow. 6.5% ABV

Black Fin: Also known as a Cascadian Dark Ale, Black IPA’s are fairly new to arrive in the craft beer scene over the last few years. They are balanced between the flavors of Northwest hops, bitterness, caramel and roasted or chocolate malts. 5.8% ABV
Sheehan’s Irish Stout: This is a very smooth and creamy, yet dry, roasted stout. It has the delicate aroma of fresh chocolate and fresh barley. 5.3% ABV

Honey Kolsch: Situated just across from 40 acres of Rogue hops, 119 Colonies of bees were carefully kept and fed and the honey was uncapped, extracted, filtered and finally infused into a refreshing Honey Kolsch Ale. 5.0% ABV
